While a variable-speed air handler adjusts the amount of air your system provides according to its needs, a multistage compressor adjusts the temperature of that air. Rather than simply blasting cold air, regardless of the temperature outside, it can provide a cool breeze on milder days — again, saving energy by only using enough cooling power to meet your current needs.
Humidity control.
Any air conditioner will dehumidify your home, but in the past, it’s always been a side benefit. In order to control your home’s humidity more accurately, you needed a separate system. However, new AC features allow you to adjust humidity right alongside temperature. By setting your preferred humidity level, you can not only improve home comfort but save energy as well.
